Roland JX-8P
Overview
The Roland JX-8P is a six-voice analogue polyphonic synthesizer introduced in 1985 as part of Roland's renowned JX series. Combining digitally controlled oscillators (DCOs) with warm analogue filters, the JX-8P is celebrated for its lush pads, expressive strings, silky brass sounds and rich evolving textures. It was also one of the first Roland synthesizers to feature velocity and aftertouch support, making it particularly expressive for performance.
Although programming from the front panel is intentionally simple, the optional PG-800 programmer unlocked the synthesizer's full sound design potential. Today, the JX-8P remains a favourite among vintage synth enthusiasts, prized for its unmistakable Roland character and timeless analogue sound.

Limitations/Quirks
Although the JX-8P's midi implementation is quite advanced for it's age, it does not accept dump requests. Preset dumps are initiated from the device by selecting a preset.
When selecting a preset on the device, Patches will not only load that preset into the workspace, but will also hydrate the correct bank/slot in the browser. You can then save any banks you wish to your library for cross-browser use.
